Finished Drawing, Boot, Egg, Paper

Here’s the result of the past week of work; with the paper and the egg, I wanted to fade them into the “white noise” of the blank space, so they were done very lightly.  If you zoom in, you can see the detail on that.  The mid-tone pencil I was using for most of the shading and black on the boot was sharpened to a nub between 1 and 2 this morning, and I had to switch brands…  Lesson learned: don’t switch brands in the middle of the drawing.  I had to use darker pencils to compensate for the lighter line quality of the new pencil–the other pencil was very smooth and made it easy to build depth.
